Government regulated e-invoicing
Four e-invoice types in a transport platform, with contingency for when the tax authority goes down mid-operation.
Challenge
Issuing a fiscal document allows no trying again later. Freight does not leave the yard without a valid document, layouts change by decree, and the government API goes down exactly at month end. Every mishandled rejection becomes a truck waiting for someone to decode an error number.
Delivered
I built the integration layer: XML assembly and validation against the official schema, signing, submission, response parsing and translation of rejection codes into a sentence an operator can read and act on. I implemented offline contingency, with the document generated and held in a durable queue until the service is back, without blocking operations.
Result
Operations stopped halting when the government service wavers, and rejections started being solved by operators instead of becoming developer tickets.
